The Distant Future - the year 2525
That’s when the corporation released the pill.
You take it just before starting puberty and it messes with the hormone release process that starts at that age, letting your body grow for a few extra years. Then once you’ve reached 6’5, the new average height, you stop the drug and develop like normal. But they didn’t listen to the warnings.
The year 2535, that’s when the giants took over. We can’t match their size or power, but we’ve got speed and brains on our side. They call us, The Shorties.

You gotta eat 5 times a day
when you’re seventeen-feet tall
you gotta learn how to obey
the rules set by the small

You got so big
you try n push everybody around
but you know what they say
even giants come tumbling down
